Nora Jane Fann, 79, of Du Quoin, Illinois, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at the SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Nora was a cashier for several years at Kroger and the A&P in Du Quoin. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church in Elkville, Illinois. Nora was also a member of A-Wa-We-Go Campers and Preceptor Alpha Eta Sorority.
She was born March 10, 1942 at West Frankfort, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Brooks and Venita P. (Overturf) Trogolo.
She married Perry A. Fann on Oct. 24, 1980 at the First Christian Church in Du Quoin and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2017.
Nora is survived by one sister, Nancy (Lyle) Van Zandt of Du Quoin; a nephew, Dan Meadows of Du Quoin; and a special great-nephew, Will Meadows of Du Quoin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Rusty Phillips; and her in-laws, Dan and Agnes Fann.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at the Elkville Christian Church, with Bro. Ron Kreid and Bro. Gary Pruitt officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Guests are asked to use social distancing guidelines.
Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to make memorials to the Elkville Christian Church, which will be accepted at the funeral home. Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin is in charge of arrangements.
