Kay Roberts, formerly of Marion

Mrs. Kay Wiseman Roberts, 78, of Augusta, GA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Kay was a devoted wife and mother, always encouraging her family and celebrating their victories. Kay worked as an Administrative Assistant for various companies through the years including AL Central Credit Union, Royal Cup Coffee, Samford University, The Cathedral Church of the Advent and AIM Battery.

One of her proudest, distinguished accomplishments was earning the Secretary of the Year in 1983. She was a member of PSI and held many offices over the years. She was an active member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama. Kay had a tremendous appreciation for music, singing in church choir, quartets, duets, and solos over the years. Kay also admired God's beautiful creations in flowers and was a member of Hueytown Garden Club. In her youth, she enjoyed camping, swimming and skiing at Crab Orchard Lake, Illinois.

Being a devout mother to her two daughters, Kay was very proud of their accomplishments and careers. Darla Moore earned her BS in Nursing and Dana Roberts, BS graduated from Samford University and continued her education at NE University in Boston, earning a Master's in Science Education.

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Wiseman; two brothers, Michael Wiseman and James Earl Wiseman; and sister, Brenda Rowland. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Clyde Roberts; daughters, Darla (James) Moore and Dana Roberts; sister, Priscilla Huff; precious granddaughters, Arlin (Ben) Jett and Mary Kate Moore; and two darling great-grandchildren, Graham and Everly Jett.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 - 5 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home.

A visitation and time of fellowship will also be held Monday in Alabama from 5 - 7 p.m. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home to reflect on Kay's beautiful life.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Alabama.

Kay was saved at the age of 10, and baptized at a lake, which was a very special experience to her. She could not have imagined life without God. Her earnest desire was that her life was meaningful to her family and friends and pleasing to her Lord.
