Peggy Jeanine Woody of Germantown

Peggy Jeanine Woody, 72, of Germantown passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon.

Mrs. Woody was born in St. Louis, Missouri July 19, 1950, a daughter of the late William and Palma Marie (nee Livengood) Hicks. She married Carlos Dean Woody Aug. 8, 1988, in Paducah, Ky., and he survives in Germantown.

In addition to her husband Carlos, Peggy is survived by her children, Stacie See (Kevin) of Germantown, Matthew Lee of Midlothian and Dana Moore of Johnston City; her grandchildren, Devon See, Trent See, Denae See, Shaelyn See, Chelsa Moore (John Restivo) and Mandy Woody; her great-grandchildren, Bella Restivo, Ayden Restivo, Dovie Restivo and Cruz; her siblings, James Hicks (Alice) of St. Genevieve, Mo., Wayne Hicks (Kathy) of South Carolina, Wilhelmina Wells of San Marcos, Calif., and Darlos (Charles) Bowers of West Frankfort; and several nieces, nephews and her close friends, Marsha Wyant and Mary Pritchett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Shawn A. Parks and Trevor Woody; a grandson, Josh Anderson; a son-in-law, Johnny Bob Moore; and a brother-in-law, Perry Wells.

Mrs. Woody had an artistic touch, and she enjoyed using her talents in her painting and cake decorating. She also enjoyed poetry. Peggy was saved, loved the Lord, and spent many hours in her last years soaking in His Word through Bible study and listening to preaching while sitting at the family dinner table. Peggy was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, and she retired from work as a beautician and a secretary.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Faith Baptist Church in Belleville.
