Logan spikers move to 13-0 in league play with win over Saints

ULLIN -- The John A Logan College volleyball team extended its spotless record in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference to 13-0 Monday following a straight-set victory over the host Shawnee College Saints.

The Volunteers cruised with set victories of 25-7, 25-16 and 25-10.

Cymber Arnold led the offensive charge with eight kills. Olivia Hallet followed with seven. Alanis Below was tops defensively with 14 digs from the libero position. Maddie Hout contributed 10. There was a total of 18 service aces. Lexi Barnes led in assists with 18, while Bailey Below checked in with 16.

Now 25-6 overall, Logan will close out league play tonight (Wednesday) with a chance to run the table at 14-0. Standing in their way on "Sophomore Night" will be Lincoln Trail of Robinson. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.

Logan will also compete in a tournament this weekend at Jefferson College in Missouri.
