Chester's Landeros named all-conference

Chester's Jared Landeros, a standout YellowJacket basketball player, has been selected as an all-conference member of the 2021-2022 Cahokia Conference Illinois Division.

The senior led the Jackets throughout most of the season in many statistical categories and helped guide his team to an overall record of 15-14 and a Cahokia Conference record of 5-5.

Landeros joined nine other Cahokia Conference players on the all-conference team, including senior Hayden Hoffmann of Carlyle; senior Carsen Beer of Carlyle; senior Ethan Reichmann of Okawville; senior Logan Cathel of Red Bud; senior Nick Fehr of Red Bud; junior Ethan Willis of Sparta; junior Grant Fridley of Wesclin; sophomore Seth Macke of Wesclin; and senior Trey Marks of Wesclin.

The final Illinois Division standings for the 2021-2022 season were as follow: Wesclin (10-0); Carlyle (6-4); Chester (5-5); Okawville (4-6); Red Bud (4-6); and Sparta (1-9).
