Geneva L. Foster

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Geneva L. "Gege" Foster, age 92 of Du Quoin, Ill. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 in Fairview Nursing Center, Du Quoin, Ill.

Geneva was born on Sept. 8, 1918 in Perry County, Ill., a daughter to Auda and Mary (Mueller) Keene. On Jan. 28, 1940, she married Sidney Charles Foster in St. Charles, Mo. and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1999. Geneva was a member of First Baptist Church, Du Quoin, Ill. and was a member of the Euzelian Sunday school class. She sold Avon for over 50 years and enjoyed visiting with her friends and meeting new people.

Geneva is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Winnie Keene and three sisters, Ethel Kellerman, Bessie Carson and Wanda Holloway.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
