Perry County Fair Horse Racing

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Racing conditions were much better for harness racing fans at the Perry County Fair than for thoroughbred racing fans the opening day of the fair. A dry track allowed racing officials and participants to hold each day's races back-to-back. A wet track proved perilous for riders at the thoroughbred races June 17 and required attention between almost each race. Tuesday's six harness races started on time and were completed in a little over an hour. The races ran just as smoothly on Wednesday and it was slightly cooler, making it a pleasant afternoon for race fans. Final Two Nights--The final two night events at the Perry County Fair are the lawn mower derby on Friday evening and the mud sling on Saturday evening.
