Beta Pi BBQ at Du Quoin Homecoming

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Beta Pi Sorority will host its 8th annual barbecue fundraiser on October 2, 2009 during the Du Quoin Indians homecoming game at VanMetre Field against Pinckneyville.

The barbecue is being prepared by Ricky Rover Rooter Roasters. Beta Pi is pre-selling many delicious items, which include ribs, pork loins, chickens, hams, pulled pork, pork butts and sauce. All pre-sold items will be available for pickup beginning at 4 p.m. on October 2 under the Beta Pi tent located in the parking lot across from the stadium. In addition, Beta Pi will be selling pulled pork sandwiches, chips and a drink for $5 the night of homecoming.

Beta Pi is a non-profit organization that raises funds for the area. All funds are distributed to charities including but not limited to the Eagles Christmas drive, Perry-Jackson County child advocacy center, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Jaycees Skate Night, food pantry, youth club, SIRSS, cancer society, "Shop with a Cop" and families in need.
