Kaisor recognized for 50 years in banking
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Buena Vista National Bank recognized Allen A. Kaisor for 50 years in banking with a solid gold commemorative pin from Community Bankers Association of Illinois. Allen started his banking career in 1960 as a part time employee of Northtown Bank in Decatur, Illinois. After graduating Millikin University in 1965 he continued his banking career at Northtown as Auditor and Assistant Operations Officer. In 1967 he accepted a position with the University Bank of Carbondale as Cashier. In 1972, Allen accepted the position of President/CEO of Lebanon Trust & Savings Bank (MidAmerica Bank & Trust Company) becoming, at age 29, one of Illinois' youngest Bank Presidents. In 1975, he transitioned to MidAmerica Bank and Trust Company, Fairview Heights, IL. as President of the bank and where he also held the position of Executive Vice President and Board Member of MidAmerican Bancsystem, Inc., a bank holding company for the six Mid-America Banks.
Allen joined Buena Vista National Bank in 1986 as President/CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Under his leadership, the bank has grown from a $50,000,000 single location bank to a bank with 5 locations and total assets in excess of $135,000,000. In addition to his banking career, he has been active in many civic organizations. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of McKendree University in Lebanon, IL including serving as its Chairman for 4 years. He has served on the boards of the Chambers of Commerce of both Fairview Heights and Chester and also served as President of the Chester Chamber. He has been a Rotary member for 40 years. He has served on the Boards of the Okaw Valley Council Boy Scouts, the Illinois Center for Autism, Junior Achievement and the St. Clair County United Way.
