Edward Jones ranks no. 4 on "Best Places to Work in Illinois" 2010 list

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Business Ledger teamed up with the Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, PA, to rank the state's best employers. Thirty-five companies were named Best Places to Work in Illinois, divided into 15 large companies and 20 small-to mid-sized companies by the number of people they employ in Illinois. Edward Jones ranked in the large-company category.

The ranking was based on an employer inventory of practices and an anonymous survey of employees, who were asked to agree or disagree with dozens of statements about the firm, teamwork, and their individual experience at the firm. On the 2009 list, Edward Jones ranked No. 3.

Edward Jones has 569 branches all over Illinois. The firm is growing, adding branches and seeking new financial advisors who are interested in operating an entrepreneurial office with the support and benefits of one of the oldest and largest firms in the industry.

The "Best Places to Work in Illinois" honor is the most recent in a series of important recognitions the firm recently has received. In its 11th year on the list, Edward Jones was named one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For in America" by FORTUNE magazine in its annual listing. The firm took the No. 2 overall spot in the FORTUNE ranking and was the No. 1 spot for large companies.

For the 17th consecutive year, Registered Representatives, a trade magazine, rated Edward Jones No. 1 among the nation's leading brokerages in its anonymous survey of the firm's own brokers. Edward Jones also ranked highest in investor satisfaction among full-service brokerage firms in the J.D. Power and Associates 2009, 2007, 2006, and 2005 Full Service Investor Satisfaction studies.
