Loving and living with someone with serious mental illness
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program is a free 12 week course for families of individuals with severe brain disorders (mental illnesses). Trained family members teach the course.
The curriculum focuses on schizophrenia, bipolar disorders (manic depression), clinical depression, panic disorder and obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD). New updates this year includes information on the symtoms and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
The course discusses the clinical treatment of these illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively.
The course will be offered each Monday beginning January 31, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The course will end April 18, 2011.
