</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Taylor Yankey of Chester, a junior at Chester High School, adds some color to her acrylic painting at the Art du Jour competition at the Southwestern Illinois College Red Bud Campus. Yankey received a third place award for her sculpture submitted in advance of the competition. The event hosts regional high school students who compete to showcase their artistic talents. Art du Jour included other workshops in figure drawing, computer graphics, Japanese sumi painting, portrait drawing, still-life drawing and silk screening.
