Dwight Yoakam Keeps Going on Stage

Singer Dwight Yoakam opened stage show entertainment at the Du Quoin State Fair Saturday, called back to the stage for an encore at the end of the show. He sang "Little Sister," "Things Change," "It Only Hurts When I Cry," "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere," "Honky Tonk Man" and "Little Ways."

The Du Quoin State Fair staff said the fair had a great opening weekend and competed well with the Friday night Southern Illinois football openers. The Du Quoin State Fair twilight parade began at 6 p.m. followed by a large attendance on the carnival grounds.
