Du Quoin State Fair Lifts Southern Illinois Talent

"They are following a dream. That's what this all about," said Sandoval native Jennifer Thompson who brought her friends together on the stage at the Du Quoin State Fair Sunday night to open for legendary Lee Greenwood.

Her friends include Du Quoin fiddle player and singer Amelia Eisenhauer, who now resides in Nashville,Tenn., singer and guitarist Keenan Rice of Du Quoin and Drew Baldridge of Patoka.
