llinois Lawsuit Abuse Watch (I-Law) executive director Travis Akin with the "Good Judges Matter" billboard truck was in Perry County Monday. The billboard can be spotted in front of courthouses in the region this week where Akin will distribute voter education guides. "Good Judges Matter" is the theme of this year's Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week. Akin said that judges have a great deal of power and should be held accountable. Illinois' lawsuit climate was ranked the fifth worst in the country last month by the nonpartisan global market research firm Harris Interactive. Mayors throughout the region have issued proclamations declaring the first week Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week.
