Chs Students Host 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Week

Students, teachers and staff at Chester High School hosted the 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Week at CHS the week of September 10-14. The very successful event raised approximately $1,875.00 which was donated the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

Co-Chairpersons for the event were CHS seniors Chelsea Schroeder and Michaelyn Modglin. Both are varsity volleyball players for the Lady YellowJackets and utilized the assistance of their freshman, junior varsity and varsity teammates to make the week-long event such a huge success.

The theme for the week was, "Your battle, Our Battle". Throughout the week most teachers, students, administrators and staff took part in numerous activities to create breast cancer awareness and to raise money for the donation to help beat breast cancer.
