Du Quoin Halloween Parade Is Thursday, Oct. 25

Beta Sigma Phi sororities of Du Quoin, led by chapter Preceptor Alpha Eta, will again sponsor the annual Halloween parade on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. If your group would like to walk in the parade or if you have a float entry, please contact Sharon Childs at 618-542-8896 or join the event on Facebook.

Costume categories include: most original, best movie or TV character, best group of two or more, best Halloween character and babies under 12 months.

Prizes for costumes will be $10 for first place and $5 for second with all contestants receiving a ribbon for participating. Prizes for float entries will be $30 for first and $20 for second.

Contestants and floats should line up at the Banterra Bank parking lot at 5:30 p.m.

Floats will be judged at the parking lot at 5:30 p.m. and costumes will be judged during the parade in front of the Du Quoin State Bank.
