Benefit April 6 for paralyzed Pinckneyville tree trimmer

Family, friends and neighbors of Jeff Kujawa are hosting a benefit dinner, dance and auction Saturday, April 6 at the KC Hall in Pinckneyville from 5:30 to 12 p.m.

Kujawa, formerly of Kujawa Tree Service, was knocked out of a tree last fall and is now paralyzed from the neck down. The fund-raiser will help offset Kujawa's medical expenses.

Dinner is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and will include fried chicken, mostaccioli, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, salad and dessert.

There will be both a silent auction and a live auction. One Night Stand will provide music from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under.

Auction items are being accepted at the Flower Patch in Pinckneyville. Cash donations may be made at Murphy Wall State Bank where an account has been set up for Kujawa.
