'Art on Main' and more Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More than 800 pieces of student art and 100 pieces from adult artists will be on display throughout downtown Du Quoin on Saturday for the second annual 'Art on Main' project.

There will be arts and crafts vendors, food and even special raffles for original donated pieces of art. More than 40 artists and hundreds of students are loaning their works to the project for the day. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and will be available at the downtown gazebo.

The show is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor tables are $10 each. Maps which locate the art will be available at the gazebo.

Special Events at Jackson's Pools & Spas

Nearby, at the corner of West Main and Hickory streets, Jackson Pools and Spas is having its annual customer appreciation day as part of 'Art on Main.' The day will feature face painting, a coloring contest, pool school, free hot dogs & sodas, supply discounts and a live radio broadcast.

Dave Jackson will be in the store to teach pool school and to answer any question that customers may have.

It is also a chance for visitors to shop downtown Du Quoin.
