Three reading events this week at Du Quoin library

There is plenty of summer reading program left at the Du Quoin Public Library with three events planned for this week.

On Tuesday at 2 p.m. you can hunt for dinosaur fossils.

On Wednesday at 2 p.m. there will be a summer snowball fight on the parking lot next to city hall.

On Thursday at 2 p.m. there will be Garden Gnome bowling.

You can still register to participate in the summer reading program, which runs throughout the month of July.

There are some rules you need to know about:

1. Fill out a registration form available at the library.

2. Read one hour each week between July 1 and 31.

3. Keep track of your time in your reading log.

4. At the end of each week have a librarian initial your reading log, then pick a prize out of the book box.
