Getting ready to roll at the Du Quoin High School
New sidewalks and parking lot curbs are in place in front of the new Du Quoin High School, ready for new pavement to be rolled into the outline.
Mathis & Sons Excavating of Du Quoin is waiting for drainage catch basins to come in for the long curb along East South Street before the area will be asphalted.
"We're getting close. I think it will all happen within the next few days," said District 300 superintendent Dr. Gary Kelly. "The flooring and carpeting are being laid at the new entrance and students will use that entrance when school opens."
Dedication of the entire school campus is being planned for this fall as the new school is realized.
