Salvation Army ringers needed next week

The Du Quoin Ministerial Alliance is asking local residents to fill slots during next week's Salvation Army bell ringing front of WalMart.

Donna Blythe, secretary of the organization, said she needs ringers to fill hourly time slots from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sunday and the following Monday, weather-permitting.

She said weather cancelled last weekend's schedule and that probably cost the Salvation Army the donations that would have helped 10-15 local families during the holidays. If you or your church or organization can help, call Pastor Blythe at 974-8468. She is pastor of the Sunfield Methodist Church.
