Even more bang for your buck at Shrine Circus Saturday & Sunday at the Du Quoin fairgrounds

Yes, it is that time of the year when you see the taming of the tigers and hear the roar of the crowds with laughter. The 48th annual Ainad Shriners Circus returns to Belleville Saturday and Sunday, June 7 & June 8 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Du Quoin. The Circus performances will be held in the Grandstands, Saturday at 7:30 p.m and 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Fun Time Shows will bring tigers, elephants, ponies, dogs, clowns and contemporary acts to the three-ring stage. There will be heart pounding aerial and high wire acts with acrobats. This year we are featuring David Smith Jr. "the Human Cannonball." He is the current Guinness Book World Record holder and former contestant on America's Got Talent (AGT), Season 7, 2012. Also, we will have the Windy City Tumblers from Chicago. "It's great that we have several new acts for this year's circus. This is an opportunity for the entire family to have fun, young and old and especially young at heart," said Rick Sieben, Ainad Shriners Potentate. Denver Tolbert and Roger Ellis will serve as the local chairmen for Du Quoin.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased at all Southern Illinois Hucks locations, MotoMart Convenience Stores and Schnucks Supermarkets. Also, tickets may be purchased at the circus ticket window. The circus tickets can be used at any of the six circus locations: Belleville, Waterloo, Jerseyville, Olney, Salem and Du Quoin. Additional details are on the circus web site SoILshrinercircus.com.

Proceeds of the circus benefit Ainad Shiners operations which, in turn, benefits Shriners hospitals.
