11th 'Remember Me' memorial candle lighting ceremony is Sunday

What began in 2004 as a candlelight service to remember Ashley Thompson, Jeff Conner and the memory of a handful of Du Quoin's children and teens will observe its 11th anniversary service this Sunday, Dec. 14 at Liberty Church at 680 West Main Street in Du Quoin. Young or old, they are somebody's child.

The inspiring 7 p.m. service is open to the entire community. All who come to the service are asked to bring a votive candle, but it is optional.
