WEEKEND: Things to Do

<p class="p1">RAGE FEST

<p class="p1">The music, art and camping festival Rage Fest - now in its fifth year - takes place June 24-26 at Freedom Lake, located between Waterloo and Red Bud off Route 3.

<p class="p1">Rage Fest features nearly 20 acts, including rock, funk, reggae and bluegrass music from across the Midwest.

<p class="p1">In Camp Village, featured workshops include Ku Fung, Poi, Yoga and Hooping. The festival also offers RV hookups and next-to-car camping is included in the ticket price.

<p class="p1">Gates open at noon on Friday.

<p class="p1">FIREMAN'S PICNIC

<p class="p1">The 88th annual Red Bud Fireman's Picnic takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

<p class="p1">Band lineup for this year features Backwoods (Friday, 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.), Metal Studz (Saturday, 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.) and Well Hungarians (Sunday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.)

<p class="p1">The Firemen's Dash 5K Color Run/Walk, put on by Design Fitness and Fleet Feet, will take place tonight from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The washer tournament also takes place tonight at 7 p.m., with registration at 6 p.m.

<p class="p1">Fountain City Amusements is providing rides and games for children, which tickets available at Red Bud-area banks.

<p class="p1">The annual parade will take place Sunday at 4 p.m.

<p class="p1">CAR SHOW

<p class="p1">The Grand Cote Cruisers will be having their 20th annual Car Show on Sunday at Coulterville City Park.

<p class="p1">Entry fee is $15 and registration begins at 8 a.m. with judging to start at noon. Trophies are awarded in multiple categories with dash plaques.

<p class="p1">All makes and models are welcome. Food, music and door prizes will also be featured.
