Proud moment at city hall

Karen Jackson of Jackson Pools & Spas, which also provides professional trophy and presentation plaque work to the community, delivers the new mayoral portrait of Rex Duncan to city hall during the close of Monday night's city council meeting.

It contains a brass nameplate commemorating the mayor's service. Portraits of most of the town's mayors hang in the northeast corner of the council room behind where the commissioners and mayor sit. That area also includes the town's chiefs of police and fire chiefs.

The Duncan portrait begins a new era of full color portraits, as well.
