Du Quoin's Amelia Eisenhauer auditions for 'American Idol'

A stunning young musician who still calls Du Quoin home since moving to Nashville has auditioned for American Idol as her success continues.

"Yes, it's true that she has auditioned for American Idol!" says her mother, Rhonda Eisenhauer. "Our journey started in August when we were contacted by an Idol casting producer who had a showcase here in Nashville and asked her to audition."

"So, she auditioned in Nashville and got the golden ticket to go to Atlanta to the celebrity audition on Sept. 12. She got to meet Keith Urban, JLo, and Harry Connick Jr. I have posted some really nice pics from the event. Andy was with us and wore his full dress military uniform that belongs to my dad. I'd say there's a good chance you will see him on TV in Jan. with Amelia when the Atlanta Audition is aired!"

Amelia Eisenhauer started her music career when she was just six years old and has become a sought after fiddle player and lead/harmony vocalist for Bluegrass and Country bands. She currently fronts her own band family blues/acoustic band, The Eisenhauer Band, alongside her mother, brother and producer, Bryan Ward.

The Eisenhauer Band is an ever evolving, unexpected eccletic blend of Delta Blues, Bluegrass, Motown and Acoustic Pop & Rock.

The Eisenhauer family, originally natives of DuQuoin, Illinois, relocated to music city in August of 2012 to seek their fortunes in the music industry. Mr. Ward, a veteran musician, published songwriter, and founding member of the 90's acoustic rock group, BonePony, was a 10 year Nashville resident before settling in Water Vally, MS in 2007. In addition to performing, writing and touring with the Eisenhauer Band, he is a producer/recording engineer for The Tone Room in Oxford, MS. Their 2015 summer tour appearances stretch from northern Georgia to Southern Illinois, Mississippi and Tennessee. Amelia resides with her family in Nashville, TN.
