Tyson Tanner is $15,260 winner in Mardi Gras 50-50

"I don't have any plans for the money, but I have promised a lot of lunches and dinners," said Du Quoin resident and Pinckneyville attorney Tyson Tanner after winning $15,260 in Saturday's 50-50 drawing at the Pinckneyville Mardi Gras. "I'll see how much I have left."

Tyson is an attorney for the law firm of Seibert, Bigham & Tanner.

"I bought $10 worth of tickets from a downtown business on Friday," said Tanner. "It was unexpected." The Tanner family dressed up as the band KISS for the parade. "I was still in my makeup when I got a text message from (chamber president) Jessica Holder." She was there when the winning number was drawn.

The winning number was 360382.

Newly named Pinckneyville chamber director Genevieve Brammeier can point to the success of her first Mardi Gras. She announced the winners of all of the competitions on Tuesday.
