New Pinckneyville Chamber director

The Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce announces it has hired a new executive director, originally from Hungary.

She fills the vacancy of Jill Fox, who has taken a position with a Pinckneyville business. Monika B. Holder joined the community a year ago. She earned her Master's Degree of Economics in the West Hungarian University.

Her schooling extended into the United Kingdom, Austria, North Africa and the United States. She speaks Hungarian, English, German and Spanish fluently. She is familiar with the food and beverage industry, marketing, hospitality, tourism, export/import, sales and guest services.

Monika has more than 10 years experience organizing national and international special events like the Olympic games, ship captains' receptions, weddings and special functions.

She worked on a cruise ship for 10 years, met her husband --Pinckneyville Police Department officer James Holder--on that ship and now she is ready to settle down and live in a smaller community with her husband.
