Excavator cleaning up site finds billfold in the rubble

The August explosion that destroyed the Harold Pundsack home on South Lake Drive in early August sent debris over a two block area. With tons of wood, brick, and other building materials all around, Dennis George of George's excavating unbelievably found Mr. Pundsack's billfold in the rubble. He said there was a great deal of money, credit cards and pictures in the billfold, but no driver's license. He called Mr. Pundsack's daughter and met with her to return it, completely intact. An honest man. Pictured is the Korbar home on South Madison Street which was behind the Pundsack home. The house was so badly damaged by the blast it was demolished this week by George's Excavating.
