Win $500 or Holiday World tickets at weekend home show!

The list of vendors for this weekend's 4th annual Du Quoin Home & Garden Show at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds has grown to 48 with vendors beginning to set up for the two-day show.

Anyone attending the show can register for a Grand Door Prize of $500 in "Vendor Bucks" which can be spent with any participating vendor. The Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce will then reimburse those vendors for the money spent with them. This way, it makes sure that the money is spent with vendors.

Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce president Sheila Haggard said there will also be four tickets to Holiday World for the upcoming season given courtesy of WDQN in Du Quoin.

There will be individual give-aways as well.

Josh Huite will hold seminars on geothermal heating and cooling systems called "Geothermal 101" to be held at the show this Saturday at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

One vendor will have face-painting for the kids on Sunday.

Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $1 for adults with children ages 12 and under being admitted free.
