Jail Museum Raffle Quilt on Display at Holiday Lights; Open House Dec. 10 at Museum

The Perry County Jail Museum's quilt, "Doves in the Window," will be on display this weekend, only, Dec. 7-9, at the Expo Hall during the "Festival of Lights" at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. Tickets will be available for purchase for this year's quilt. This quilt has been hand quilted by volunteer ladies from Perry County, under the expert guidance of Flossine Schrader.

On Monday, Dec. 10, there will be an Open House at the Jail Museum in Pinckneyville from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The drawing for the winner of the quilt will be at 3 p.m. Tours of the museum will be available and there will also be a special display of Perry County "Signature Quilts."
