Council discusses OSLAD?files

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[There was no action taken at Monday night's Chester City Council meeting regarding a Park Board recommendation. The board's recommendation was to turn all OSLAD files over to the Mayor, city Attorney and city council to look into donation discrepancy with Chester Sports. However, the Mayor gave Jeff Kerkhover paperwork to look over.

The council approved a request from Chester Sports for the Sports Day Parade as May 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. They also approved road closure of Swanwick Street during that time. A donation to Chester Sports in the amount of $5,000 was also approved.

The council discussed the Security Alarm Corporation Agreement for keyless entry system at Cohen Complex. The council decided to turn the issue back over to the park board to figure out how to pay for it.

The proposal from Chester Electric for Cohen Complex concession stand was approved in the amount of $2,440.

The police chief's request to create a separate account for police equipment for additional fine money received for arrest warrants was approved.

In other council news:

The council approved the Nationwide Retirement Solutions Plan Document and authorized the mayor to sign Plan Sponsor Signature Page.

The council approved the Standard & Poor's rating services agreement and approved the payment of rating fee.

The agreement with US Again to allow them to place clothing recycler at the city recycling location was not approved.

The next regularly scheduled city council meeting will be held Monday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. at city hall in the council chambers.
