Red Bud Regional Hospital Welcomes Greg Hipskind, M.D. Ph.D.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Red Bud Regional Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Greg Hipskind, M.D. Ph.D., Family Medicine. In September Dr. Hipskind will begin seeing patients at 1335 Jamie Lane in Waterloo.

Dr. Hipskind is continuing his family's legacy of providing quality care to families in Southern Illinois. His father, John Hipskind, M.D. began practice in Belleville in 1951 where he practiced OB and family practice. His brother, Tim Hipskind, M.D, is an internist practicing hospital medicine in Belleville and other local cities.

Now, Dr. Greg Hipskind returns to Belleville to live closer to his family and open a practice, specializing in family medicine. He has received special training in brain injury and neurological disorders, such as ADHD, having six scientific publications in this area, as well as completing an internship in neurology at University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Hipskind earned his medical degree and PhD in neurophysiology at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and became board certified. He was also honored as being chosen as Chief Resident.

Dr. Hipskind is also a certified Brain Injury Specialist and a member of the Brain Injury Association of America.
