On the Trail: Battling the bush honeysuckle
On a nice weather day in early December last year, I took a walk around Campus Lake. I usually park where the boardwalk is now (where the beach used to be). Often, I'll do some chin-ups on the bars near the start of the trail to get the blood flowing.

Late surge not enough as Salukis fall at ISU
Marcus Domask tied a career-high with 32 points, but it wasn't enough as the Southern Illinois men's basketball team dropped a road contest at Illinois State, 72-66, at CEFCU Arena Sunday afternoon -- ending SIU's five-game winning streak. The Salukis (17-6, 9-3 MVC) trailed by as many as 12 points at the midway point in the second half before rallying with a 14-2 run to tie the game at 60 with under three minutes remaining. The Redbirds would get a 3-pointer from Senica Knight to go up 63-60 before Lance Jones and Domask traded 3-pointers with Luke Kasubke, knotting things up at 66 with 1:39 left to play.
