Live entertainment returns to the MCCC stage

MARION - It's been over a year since entertainment has been center stage at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.

That is set to change next month, accord to executive director Josh Benson.

Benson said the MCCC will host its first live concert since March 2020 on June 5, and will feature Mark Schultz.

Schultz has a history with MCCC. He was the first performer to entertain at the new venue in 2004. He was also the last to perform at the MCCC before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of entertainment venue across the nation.

Benson said that the MCCC will continue limited capacity - 60 percent - until Illinois is fully open. Also, masks are required to enter the building.

Ticket information is available on the MCCC website at www. marionccc.com.
