Chamber seeking Citizen of the Year nominations; banquet Jan. 29

The Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its annual Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award. Please submit your nominations to director Stacy Hirsch at the Du Quoin Chamber office no later than Thursday, December 5. The chamber's board of directors will name this year's recipient following its noon meeting on Friday, Dec. 6 at Alongi's Restaurant.

The annual banquet, which for the first time will include naming a Business of the Year, will be held January 29, 2014 at the Elks Lodge in Du Quoin. Past recipients have included:
