Saturday fish fry at Sunfield Methodist Church

The Men's Group from Sunfield United Methodist Church is having a fish fry this Saturday, July 20 from 4-7 p.m. The menu offers choices for everyone. Walleye, shrimp and chicken strips are cooked to perfection by Country Rhodes Catering from Effingham, Illinois. Their cooks also prepare wonderful side dishes: potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies, baked beans, steak fries and applesauce. The Sunfield church members bring the best home-made pies, cakes and desserts for everyone to choose from. Tea is included with your meal and the church youth are selling soda to help pay for church camp.

Pastor Donna Blythe said the church was thrilled with the wonderful job Country Rhodes did last year for this event. Dick Rhodes their founder has 30 years of experience in the food industry. "Their food is excellent and they are wonderful to work with."

Tickets are available at the door for $10 for adults or $5 for children under 12. Carry outs are available. Proceeds from the dinner go towards the church building fund and for local missions.

Sunfield United Methodist Church is located at 7785 School Street two miles north of Du Quoin two blocks from Route 51.
