10th Christmas for Two Raggedy Sisters: Everything from hundreds of gift ideas to homemade divinity & fudge at open house

For holiday shoppers. the Two Raggedy Sisters shop in downtown Du Quoin isn't just good. It's crazy good.

Owners Suzie Gerber and Shellie Barr are celebrating the shop's 10th Christmas with a holiday open house today and Saturday that takes shoppers on a treasure hunt through literally hundreds of gift ideas.

From holiday gift items on consignment from the shop's 25 vendors, to their primitive collectibles and antiques to their own line of fragrant candles you will find something for someone in the shop.

Many of the shop's vendors are offering holiday discounts.

The shop is open today from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Two Raggedy Sisters is closed on Sundays.

You can sign up to win a $50 gift certificate as a door prize.

The shop is famous for its McCall's, 1803 and Blackcrow candles, specialty teas, coffees and dip mixes, crafts and decorative flags.

In a special note, there will be homemade divinity candy and fudge in the shop for the open house.

The shop has enjoyed great success since its doors opened in 2003.

Owners Suzie and Shellie are two of Southern Illinois' original American Pickers and at the suggestion of then-building owner Dr. Tim Mathis in 2003 they decided to take their hobby and grow it in one place. One thing the ladies share: "We have a lot of friends."

That makes Two Raggedy Sisters great.
