Five Star Industries honors longevity and outstanding service

Five Star Industries, Inc. recently held their annual client banquet that honors the dedication and hard work of the clients and staff of the agency.

Five Star Industries, Inc. has been in operation since 1975 and provides a positive quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.

This event is something the clients, family members and staff all look forward to every year to enjoy good food, good music, award ceremony and a little dancing.

The banquet honors the clients for their attendance and participation in Day Program services but Five Star also has some very special awards that are awarded to very deserving recipients each year.

The clients are given awards for years of service awarded at five year increment milestones.

The clients receiving those awards this year were: Five Years: Shane Giacomo, Tom Kellerman, Anthony Kim, Frannie Kirkpatrick, Kenny Kirkpatrick, Kelly Madden, Linda Paris, Jon Rennison, Cody Spani, Nissie Wiswell & Joseph Woodcock 10 Years: Richard Green 15 Years: Eric Conley & Rachel Dewitt 20 Years: Emilee Rodenbush 25 Years: Paul Reidelberger 30 Years: Diane Brand (pictured) & Tim McKeown.

The staff are awarded with years of service in the same manner and the recipients of staff service awards were: Five Years: Nancy Brewner, Kristine Harris, Lisa Haycraft, Sherry Miller, & Brooke Jenkel 10 Years: Tami Williams & Christine Schaffer 20 Years: Margie Stevenson & Dusty Mansfield.

Every year the agency likes to recognize clients that have worked very hard to accomplish their goals.

This year the following clients received awards for the hard work in the specified program area: Patty Amis received Day Program Client of the Year, Vernon Holmes received Residential Client of the Year and Bethany Forys received Children's Home Client of the Year.

Five Star Industries Inc. also likes to recognize staff that goes above and beyond their duties to ensure the best care to the clients.

This year Lisa Haycraft received the Residential Staff of the Year award. Lisa has been working for Five Star for five years and is one of the outstanding staff at the Washington Street CILA home. Daisy Kimble received Day Program Staff of the Year award. Daisy has been working with Five Star for three years. She is a part of the wonderful team of Day Program Staff at the workshop location.

The banquet also honors the volunteer service of the board members and this year they honored Marty Beltz for nine years of service as a board member.
