Du Quoin Chamber Farm to Table Dinner moves forward

<span style="color: black; font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: medium;"><span id="divtagdefaultwrapper" style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce will hold an upcoming "Farm to Table Dinner" presented with support from the Perry County Farm Bureau and Marshall Browning Hospital.&#160;<br /> The evening will feature a multi-course farm dinner experience showcasing a seasonal menu using farm-fresh produce and locally raised meat products sourced just minutes from where they will be enjoyed. <span class="contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_475_531" tabindex="0">The event will begin at 6 p.m. June 15 on Main Street in</span> Du Quoin.<br /> Dinner will be prepared by cooks and chefs from several different local restaurants and bakeries.&#160;Soft drinks will be provided, and a cash bar with wine and beer also will be available.&#160;<br /> "We wanted to do something that would bring our community together in a unique way that would show off our beautiful downtown," said Stacy Hirsch, Chamber executive director.<br /> Abby Ancell, one of the event coordinators added, said the event also aims to help local producers.<br /> "We also wanted to use this event to promote the local farmers and growers and everything that is available right here in our area through the farmer's market, as well as the great businesses and restaurants too," Ancell said.<br /> Dinner music will be provided.&#160;<br /> Tickets for the event are $30 each or two for $50 and can be purchased by calling the chamber office at 618-542-9570. Seating is limited. Tickets will go on sale May 4&#160;and will be for sale through June 1.</span></span></span></span>
